URL Forwarding
From Novara Support Knowledgebase
What is URL Forwarding?
This is when a source domain is forwarded through a forwarding proxy to a destination URL. It is worth noting that the forward hides the destination address from the users browser so that there is no knowledge of the forward taking place.
This is less efficient than simple URL redirection, where the destination address is not
hidden from the users browser.
How to add a URL forward for your domain:
1. Login to the NCM [see NCM for more information on this]
2. Click on "Domain Names: " to see the list of domains you currently have.
3. Click on the domain name that you wish to add a URL forward for.
4. Under each section [ie .com, .net, .ie, etc..] click on the link "Active" This will display the list of currently active domains under that section [ .ie, .com etc...]
5. To the right of each domain is a button labelled "Full Details", click on this to see the list of details and available actions relating to that domain.
6. From this list click on the link " Click here for details associated with this domain.". This will display a list of editable options pertaining to the domain.
7. Click the "Edit" button to the right of URL Forwarding.
8. Enter the destination address for which you want your domain to be forwarded to and click the Submit button. Make sure that the destination domain does not contain any spaces at both the end and start of the destination address.
