Configuring the Sony Ericsson W810i to Use Novara Mail Services

This guide assumes you have correctly configured your mobile phone to connect to the Internet. If you are having trouble with this please contact your mobile operator.

For the purposes of this guide, we are assuming that you are configuring your phone to collect mail for jdoe@yourdomain.com via IMAP.

Press Menu

Choose Messaging

Scroll to and select Email

Scroll to and select Settings

In Account Settings

Scroll to and select New Account

You will be prompted with Account Name: enter a name of your choice such as Novara Mail and press ok

Scroll to and select Email address and when prompted for it: jdoe@yourdomain.com and press ok

Scroll to and select Connect using in the sub-menu select the GPRS data service you use for accessing the Internet.

Scroll to and select Connection type in the sub-menu choose IMAP4 and press Select

Scroll to and select Incoming Server when prompted for it please enter mail.yourdomain.com and press ok

Scroll to and select Username and when prompted for it enter your e-mail address: jdoe@yourdomain.com and press ok

Scroll to and select Password and when prompted for it enter the password for your mailbox supersecret and press ok

Scroll to and select Outgoing Server when prompted for it please enter mail.yourdomain.com and press ok

Scroll to and select Username and when prompted for it enter your e-mail address: jdoe@yourdomain.com and press ok

Scroll to and select Password and when prompted for it enter the password for your mailbox supersecret and press ok

Back your way out to the main e-mail menu and go to the Inbox menu. You should now be ready to Send & Receive
