1) How do nameservers work?

2) Do Nameservers change automatically as part of a transfer?

3) How can I edit dns for domains in my control panel?

1) Nameservers contain 2 main types of records, A records (for the website) and MX records (for your mail) The entries for each record determine what server your website and mail point to. Generally a hosting company will have their own nameservers in place for a domain. As a novara reseller you would use

ns1.novara.ie

ns2.novara.ie

ns3.novara.ie

to point at a domain you have added to your hosting reseller account.

2) To prevent downtime we do not automatically change nameservers, we wait until asked by clients to do so to make sure everything is ready to go.

3) You can change dns for a domain from within your hosting control panel by doing the following.

-Log into that domains individual control panel

-Click the domains quick access button

-Click on "DNS configuration"
