How to transfer a .eu name, email and website to Novara

First transfer the registration:

1) Go to www.register.ie and click on the Transfers tab at the top of the page.

2) Enter in the domain name(s) that you wish to transfer to us and click on the Submit button.

3) The cost of the transfer will appear and to continue you will need to scroll down the page and click on the button "Continue with current purchase".

4) Then if you are a new client, fill in the New client section and continue and if you are an existing client fill in the Existing client section to add the domain to your account.

5) Once you have logged in you will need to verify the contact information and complete the payment.

6) An email will be sent to the current admin contact asking them if they wish to accept the transfer. We cannot change where this email is sent to, it has to go to the admin contact currently listed by Eurid.

7) Once this is done it can take up to 2 weeks for Eurid to process it but usually less at which point the transfer will complete.

Once this is done we can transfer the hosting as below:

1) When you purchase hosting from our selves you should receive an email with the log in details of your hosting account.

2) Get a copy of your site either from a backup you have at home or by downloading a copy from your current hosts.

3) Using the login details you have recieved from us you can upload your site either by using an FTP program such as dreamweaver or by logging into your hosting account and using the file manager.

4) Set up any email accounts you require on your hosting account. make sure any existing ones are recreated on our account.

5) Get our technicians to mirror the dns records on the nameservers currently in place so that our nameservers point towards your existing hosting.

6) As we are now authoritative for the domain we can change to our own nameservers at this stage. There is no interruption to your site or email while this is happening.

7) Allow 24 -48 hours for propogation.

8) Contact our technicians and ask them to point the mail and website records towards the account you have set up with us. There is no interruption to your website and less than an hours interruption to your email. No email is lost.

9) After an hour change your settings in outlook for each address to the following:

Incoming and outgoing servers:

mail.yourdomain.com

Username:

youremailaddress@yourdomain.com

Password:

The password you set for that address on our hosting system.

10) Your website and email are fully transferred.
