What is web forwarding
There are a number of different terms used for the same service. Web forwarding, URL forwarding and domain mapping all mean that a visitor that types in your domain name is forwarded to a location of your choosing. This is typically used where your where your hosting company does not take responsibility for setting up zones. This is often the case with free web space providers If for example you have created your website on some free space provided by your ISP, the address of your homepage may be www.yourisp.com/homepages/~user. Using our forwarding service you could purchase a domain name e.g. yourdomain.com and use that instead as your address for the same location. Once you have set up web forwarding through our service, anyone going to www.yourdomain.com would be automatically redirected to www.yourisp.com/homepages/~user.
How do I configure web forwarding?
Click on Login option above. Then log in to the NCM (Novara Customer Manager). In the NCM click on the relevant domain name and there is an option to change forwarding at this stage.
If I use your forwarding service will there be ads on the forward? No, we do not place any adds on your forward. Your visitors will not be aware that they are being forwarded to your site.
Is your forwarding service cloaked or not?
Cloaking refers to whether your target address is visable. We allow you to choose to have it cloaked or not. If you choose cloaked the visitor will not be aware of the forward, your domain name will appear in the address bar all the time they are on your site.
What does your email account allow me to do?

What is a POP 3 account?
The Register.ie Email Hosting Option gives you one POP3 / IMAP4 compliant mailbox. This gives you storage on our servers to retrieve your email and a web-mail client (like hotmail, yahoo, etc) to read, reply and send email on the move.
What does catch-all forwarding do?
Using your control panel you can set up catch-all forwarding. Catch-all forwarding allows you to automatically forward every e-mail sent to your domain to another e-mail address of your choice. For instance to look more professional your website will want to have different e-mail addresses for different departments. Catch-all e-mail allows you to do that and have all the e-mail forwarded to you're a single e-mail address, for example:- sales@yourdomain.ie """ eamon@example.com info@yourdomain.ie """ eamon@example.com
I want some of my e-mails to forward to other e-mail addresses, can I do this through catch-all forwarding? No, you should set up individual e-mail forwarding accounts for those addresses. Please see www.host.ie for details of our more advanced email hosting account.
Why do I have to pay for an email account?
To enable your email account to work we have to set up an account for your on our forwarding server. Mail stored on our servers for you uses resources thus we charge for setting up this service for you. It is not obligatory to use our service, you have full control over any domain you register with us. if your ISP is prepared to set up zones for your hosting account you have full control over your domain and you can set your nameserver settings to point at your hosting account independently of Register.ie and use their email service. Register.ie cannot get involved with instructing your hosting provider in any matter concerning account set up for services related to your domain name.
